How we handle, secure, and protect your identity, startup metrics, and communications across the AstraBase platform.

Overview: AstraBase is designed from the ground up to respect startup privacy. Public product profiles are visible to all users, but critical modules (fundraising and partnership proposals) are gated and moderated to ensure they are only accessed by verified participants.

1. Introduction

AstraBase, a VeloAstra initiative ("we", "us", "Company"), operates the AstraBase platform located at the local development domain and public subdomains. This Privacy Policy details how we collect, process, secure, and share the information of founders, investors, partners, and general explorers who access the platform.

By creating an account, registering a persona workspace, or utilizing any of our listing modules, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the platform.

2. Data We Collect

We collect information you directly provide, as well as data automatically generated during your interactions on the platform:

  • Account credentials: Your name, email address, password hash, and the selected persona workspaces (Founder, Investor, Partner, Explorer).
  • Startup Profile Information: Product name, tagline, description, sector, industry, solution category, launch website, and logo assets.
  • Fundraising Details: Target round size, current commitments, equity terms, pitch deck URLs, and financial metrics (for Founder-Investor workflows).
  • Partnership Parameters: Scope of services required, project budget, and technical details.
  • Interaction Metrics: Search queries, bookmarks, likes, article views, message metadata, and lead history.

3. Marketplace Gating

Your product marketplace profile represents public discovery data. By default, the name, tagline, description, logo, and categories are indexable and viewable by any visitor. We do not gate general marketplace listings. However, any message threads or inquiries initiated from the marketplace listing are private and restricted to the sending explorer and the listing owner.

4. Fundraising Controls

We treat fundraising data with maximum sensitivity. Fundraising listings are completely invisible to search engines and explorers. Access is restricted to users holding a verified and approved Investor Workspace. If you raise capital via AstraBase:

  • Pitch decks and cap table metrics are kept behind user authentication.
  • No investor can see your detailed fundraising module unless they have been vetted by the AstraBase moderation team.
  • You receive real-time dashboard notifications when a verified investor requests an introduction or views your deals.

5. Partnership Privacy

Startup-Partner matchmaking data (proposals, agency needs, consulting requests) are visible only to verified Partner Workspace holders. We verify all partner registrations (agencies, consultants, developers) before they can view and apply to open startup requirements.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

AstraBase does not sell, lease, or monetize your personal or startup metrics. We only share information with third parties in the following scenarios:

  • Ecosystem Integrations: To send email notifications or track contact form submissions (as detailed on our Contact page).
  • Legal Compliance: If required by law, regulatory summons, or to protect the safety and rights of VeloAstra and its platform users.
  • Direct Consent: When you initiate a lead (e.g. click "Request Intro" or "Message Founder"), which transmits your profile data to the corresponding workspace owner.

7. Data Security

All data transmitted on AstraBase is encrypted in transit using industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology. Database storage is protected behind security group controls. We restrict internal staff access to sensitive fundraising databases on a strict need-to-know basis.

8. Data Retention

We retain your profile data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your startup profile or request account termination, all active marketplace listings, fundraising details, and dependent leads are permanently deleted from our live production database. Backups are cleared within 30 days of deletion.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to incorrect data, or request the complete deletion of your records.
